Look, I appreciate that basketball is big in North Carolina. Really. But for some bizarre reason, the programming geniuses at WBTV have decided that they would show an early season (very early season) basketball game, pushing NCIS back to 2:07am (really) and The Amazing Race back to 3:07am. I am not making this up.
It makes you wonder what they are thinking. Networks develop series to keep viewers on particular nights. Then on those nights, ridiculous interruptions completely disrupt the viewing. A regular sitcom or something? Not a big deal. A reality show, where something interesting might happen, and change whether you even want to watch again next week? Huge.
What’s more, it gives you a night to realize that maybe you shouldn’t be all that interested in making time to watch something that isn’t all that important, eh?
And please, no comments about Tivo. I can’t get $10 books off my wish list. Where am I going to get the money for Tivo? Yes, I eventually did get a Tivo (in fact, I have two), but that isn’t the point.
