In actuality, that means that another team bites the dust on The Amazing Race 7. This time it was Ray and Deana. As we watched the double episode last night, we were left with some thoughts.

Advertising Jabs or Not

We were watching something last night. Probably reruns of a syndicated sitcom would be my guess. It was Fox, as we were getting ready to watch American Idol. And this ad comes on for the OC. I don’t usually pay much attention to advertising of any sort, but it had this circle with a line through it, and in the middle of the circle was Joey and Survivor. Essentially saying don’t watch those, watch us instead. I thought it was cute.
Annual Idolization

Somehow, we seem to get sucked into American Idol every year. Usually it’s something that we just have to see during the auditions. Then we need to know who gets cut. Then see the songs each week. Finally we’ve gone through the whole thing again. This year is especially painful. Three nights a week? I think that’s just too much.
Still, we watch.
While last week the men did very well, they weren’t too good this week. This week the women took over. Some excellent performances and some so-so performances.
