Shows: Uninspiring Avril
Avril Lavigne was on Good Morning America a few minutes ago. It was bad. First, she sold her albums as a brooding teenager with dirty (looking) hair and too much eye makeup. On stage in Bryant Park, her hair is what I'd call "sandy blonde" - certainly not dirty - and her eye makeup is much healthier looking.
Don't get me wrong. She looks a lot nicer. But her performance was horrid, and I can only attribute it to the new look. In fact, I haven't seen a crowd exhibit such apathy since an Alanis Morissette show. People in the crowd were more concerned with the GMA cameras and their neighbor's cell phone screens than they were with what was happening on the stage.
