In the Sunnyvale Home for the Aged, Charles decides he’s missing something important – his youth! Even though his friend Ben can’t be convinced that this is something that can be recaptured, Charles thinks that he can actually do it. He has visions of once again playing Kick the Can like they did when they were kids. It’s almost haunting him.
So one night Charles gets as many of the other residents together as he can for a game , and wouldn’t you know it, when Ben gets wind of it, he rouses the doctor from his sleep. Unfortunately, when they go outside to try and get them back in and back to bed, they can’t find a one of them. There are just a bunch of kids. One of them stops in the street and looks back at Ben, and at that instant, Ben knows that he missed his chance.
