Yet another slow-moving episode, but you have to like someone who goes through such great expense to play a practical joke that they not only build a full-scale bomb shelter, but then wire it for sound and video as well. That’s exactly what Mr. Radin has done here, in an attempt to play one final joke on those that he has perceived have done him some wrong over the years.
Unfortunately, the grudge holder doesn’t get to reap the benefits of his work, as those he wants to apologize decide that he simply isn’t worth the effort, and instead of apologizing to him for the wrongs he perceived they committed against him, they instead tell him how self-centered he is and promptly announce their intention to head home to be with their loved ones in their final moments.
In a classic twist, Radin then collapses into his own world, believing that somehow there really was an attack and the world has been destroyed around him. In reality it hasn’t, but that doesn’t make it any less real in his mind. Everyone simply walks by him in his delusional world, and he breaks down in his own little world. Nicely done.
