Big Love Recap: Home Invasion
In episode number three, we get another taste of Bill's feud with Roman, but again our appetites are left a bit wanting, as instead the plot focuses on Nicki and her desire to throw a birthday party for 150 guests at a local resort for her son. Bill defuses that situation by putting his foot down and having the party at the house instead, but the tension moves instead to the guest list.
Of course among the guests are Nicki's parents, but the only thing of interest there is a moment when Bill comes into Nicki's room near the end of the episode to find Roman and Nicki on the bed in what may seem to be a bit of an inappropriate position. Nothing obvious, but when Roman gets up, he fixes his hair and replaces his hat - odd behavior for an innocent chat with his daughter, don't you think?
Naturally, the Henrickson's neighbor across the street watches all the comings and goings with interest too, so it seems more drama is yet to unfold. But as with other shows, I wish they would get on with it already. There are only 13 episodes per season, about half what you'd find on network television - yet they still take forever to let anything happen.
