In the latest episode, we find Bill running around like a crazy teen in love because he’s having some kind of affair, and then later on we find out that it’s with his wife (that is, with his first wife). Meanwhile, Nicky (his second wife, for those keeping score at home) thinks that he’s dating someone outside the family, and she’s secretly hoping this means that they will soon be adding a fourth wife. As all this is happening, Margene (that’s the third wife) makes friends with the neighbor across the street.
While that all may sound pretty interestng, there really isn’t a whole lot else going on in the show. It’s a shame, because the premise has some promise, what with Bill trying to build his home improvement empire, you know he’s bound to run into problems as the attention of the public starts to shine on the family. And Roman is going to be a thorn in his side – that’s just a storyline waiting to come out. At least, I hope it is. It’s really the only thing that sounds interesting.
As much fun as it is to watch what is happening with the family, the conniving ways of the compound are what makes this series really fun to watch, so you just have to wonder how it will all turn out. But unfortunately there isn’t much to see this week. Maybe next week.
