I’ve always been really bad at symbolism, but if I had to guess, I would say this was a message against racism (or hatred in general). A man is accused – rightly or wrongly – of murder and stands to be hanged in the morning. But the sun doesn’t come up and the town is black as night. The radio announces that only this town is black, the rest of the world goes on as normal, so we see that the hatred in the town is what keeps it in darkness.
At the end of the episode, other places around the world are descending into darkness as the town gets even darker, presumably indicating that if we don’t do something, we won’t ever see the light again. A bit strange, really, and not at all as enjoyable as many other episodes. Perhaps that’s the point.

An eldery couple visits a company that promises to give them younger bodies, bodies that are good for 112 years. The only problem is that the bodies are $5000 each. A bargain, to be sure, as that’s only $45 per year. But the couple only has $5000, so only one can make the switch.
The husband tries to win the money, but he isn’t a gambler. Luckily he meets a kind-hearted soul, who instead of taking his money, allows him to keep his original money, but that leaves them where they started. Since he is sick, the husband goes first, but when he sees his wife in her older body and he in his younger body, he realizes that the happiness is in being together, so he switches back to the older body.
A sweet story, but not much else.

As we meet Mr. Frisby, we find him regaling his friends with tales of his exploits in the war while they hang out in his store. Naturally, they treat his tales with no small amount of skepticism, for he is a master of the tall tale. The tallest of them all, it seems, for even the aliens who have come to the earth to collect a specimen have become interested in him for his accomplishments.
