A man’s car breaks down, and he finds himself within walking distance of his childhood town. Evoking memories of Something Wicked This Way Comes, an experience on the merry-go-round results in a talk with his father and the realization that he can’t go back again.
Not a bad episode, and especially interesting is the treatment of a wound that the younger man suffers on the merry-go-round. The older self suffers a limp from the wound, almost immediately, and then in the latter part of the episode. Well thought out, and well executed. Surprising, really – many current-date treatments of time travel likely wouldn’t pick up on it.
