Golf-Ball Diver. The first stop in this episode was the Golfball Depot, where Mike waded for balls and dove for balls (instruction: “Feel for something hard, if it moves, it’s a turtle, snake or alligator, let it go”). Once they collected some balls, the went back, washed them, sorted them and packaged them. Then they paint the remnants as range balls, a job Mike isn’t particularly good at. But it’s a funny bit.
Horse Breeder. You read that right. Mike is breeding horses. He visits a horse ranch, where he performed a dental checkup, then performed an embryo transfer on a mare and gets a lovely souvenir in a baby bottle, too. Interesting stuff, and definitely a series of Dirty Jobs!
Roadkill Collector. Then he moved on to the title segment, where he collects roadkill (mostly deer) in the back of a pickup truck. It’s actually one of the shortest segments that I’ve seen, and relatively uninteresting. Not sure how it made it into the series, much less into the title of the episode. Ah well. Can’t win ‘em all.
