In this episode, Dick York (Darrin Stephens #1 from Bewitched) flips a quarter into a box to pay for his morning paper. When he does, he gets not heads or tails, but he lands it on edge, and for the rest of the day, he can hear people’s thoughts.

He hears the thoughts of Miss Turner, who has a thing for him, he hears the thoughts of Smithers, a long-time bank employee who plans to walk into the safe and walk out with a briefcase full of money, just as he has every day for years (but who has never done it), and he even hears the thoughts of his boss, who is having an affair (that one gets him promoted).

Unfortunately, on the way home, he buys another paper, and when he flips this quarter into the box, it knocks over his first quarter, and with that he loses his “gift”. But he gets to keep Miss Turner.

The Twilight Zone Recap: The Invaders

A lone woman (Agnes Moorehead of Bewitched, looking nothing like Endora) cooks over her pot (which looks more like a witch’s cauldron) as she hears something on the roof. Climbing onto the roof, she sees a tiny spacecraft, opening to reveal two tiny robot-looking creatures who come after her, over and over. She eventually beats them into submission and destroys their craft, and we hear the radio which says not to send more ships for there is a race of giants, as the camera fades and we see lettering which reads “US Air Force Space Exploration”. I love it when they do that.
