Dirty Jobs Recap: Cheese Maker

Zoo Keeper. The first stop on this episode is the zoo. Which just so happens to rhyme with poo. And, if you’ve been watching long, you’ll know that not long after Mike feeds the animals, he has to clean up after them.

Cheese Maker. After the zoo, he heads to Vermont to make some cheese, which apparently involves lots of sitting around. And of course some good jokes, including the expected “cutting the cheese”. Who would have thought you had to sit around for four hours to make just one batch of cheese?

Volcano Mud Bath Mixer. Finally, Mike heads to California for an ash bath. He loads up a wheelbarrow, then sifts the ash into, well, finer ash, then mixes the ash with mineral water and drifts into a dreamy sleep while he visits a volcano in Hawaii.

I think he actually did that, and just couldn’t think of any other way to fit it into an episode. But I’m not really sure. He also went to Hawaii for the Micro-Algae Man episode, so it could have been filmed then. Or maybe he took two trips. Who knows?
