The Twilight Zone Recap: Young Man's Fancy
Alex and Virginia have finally been married, and maybe now she can finally get him to sell his mother's house, get him away from her. She's even called Mr. Wilkinson to come over and sign the papers so they can get going on their honeymoon, but now Alex wants to wait until after their honeymoon to sell the house.
Meanwhile Alex has gone upstairs to play with his old toys and his mother won't leave Virginia alone. Her pictures haunt her, her music plays, even the old bowl full of fudge is full once again. Finally Mr. Wilkinson arrives but Alex sends him away with a promise to call when they return from their trip. But then he goes back upstairs once again, insisting that he won't sell the house.
Virginia tries to follow but her path is blocked by his mother, and Virginia tells her that she won't let him go, that she won't let her have Alex. But his mother just shakes her head and says it's not her, it's Alex, and then a small boy comes out of the room, and it hits Virginia - it's not the mother that won't let go, it's Alex. He's the one that won't let things be.
