Mickey Rooney, until today, was a jockey, lucky to be five feet tall, who has recently received his third, and this one a lifetime, ban from the sport where he made his living. Only now he has decided that he doesn’t want to be a little man on a horse, he wants to be a big man. And his reflection is going to give it to him.
When he wakes, his reflection has given him his dream – it’s made him a big man. Bigger than his bed, than his dresser, almost bigger than his room. It’s exactly what he’s always wanted, and he is just where he wants to be. Until he receives a call from the commission to tell him that he’s been reinstated and he can race again, that is, and realizes that he can no longer ride because he’s too big.
