The Sopranos Recap: Cold Stones
At last! Some action, and it only took 11 episodes to get it! With Carmela in Paris and Meadow moving to California, it turns out that Vito wants back in, but Phil has other plans, and beats him to death.
Obviously we've come a long way, however, since a couple seasons back, as the death is hardly shown - just a few whacks over the head is all we see, nothing like the blood of prior seasons. Even a later death of someone making jokes about Vito had more blood than Vito himself (that's two dead in one show - now we're getting somewhere!).
Meanwhile, Tony finally clamps down on AJ, making him get a job or threatening to take away some of the things that he gets for free, and AJ seems like he may be responding.
Adriana makes a brief appearance to Carmela in a dream in Paris and, well, that's about it. One more episode in two weeks, then we have an intermission until January when we get the final eight episodes of the series.
