My Name is Earl Recap: Something to Live For
It seems that when Earl couldn't afford gas, he found the next best thing: a Yugo in the trailer park that couldn't afford a locking gas cap.
And though his first efforts at siphoning didn't go well (you did know that gas ate through plastic bags, right?), he quickly found out that you could get gas cans and do just fine. Unfortunately the person on the other end of the equation lost out. But what he lost out on was the opportunity to end his life.
You see, he was hoping to kill himself with exhaust fumes. But since Earl and Randy kept stealing all his gas, the car didn't run long enough to kill him. So he couldn't even kill himself right.
When Earl comes along, he's still depressed, but he's trying other ways to kill himself, because his love doesn't know he exists, and Earl wants to help. Unfortunely it seems Earl gets himself into one mess after another, because the love he wants to meet is none other than Joy.
Joy, of course, wants to get Darnell jealous, so she agrees, and it all turns out in the end because Earl and Randy make themselves a new friend, and someone with friends doesn't need to kill themself. Problem solved.
