Dirty Jobs Recap: Casino Food Recycler
Duck Habitat Cleaner. Behind the scenes of the Lance Burton Magic Show, Mike helps Turtle (that is really this guy's name) clean up after the birds. It involves a lot of work. First the ducks and geese, who essentially run loose in stalls. Then the doves in their crates. This is apparently done every other day. Those birds create a lot of poo.
Casino Food Recycler. Next Mike moves off the strip a little to see what happens to all the buffet food that doesn't get eaten. Well, the food that doesn't get eaten by you and me. As it turns out, it gets thrown in a truck, along with a bunch of trash, and taken to a pig farm, where Mike helps the owner sort out the trash, the leftover food is stewed, and then it's fed to the pigs.
Oh, and we get to see Mike run around trying to catch the pigs that get loose. And watch Mike try to drive the equipment around, while sloshing this nasty stuff all over the place. It is not pretty. Even the "milk" is spoiled. At least the owner is re-using stuff that would otherwise get thrown away. Waste not, want not.
