My Name is Earl Recap: Boogeyman

When Earl and the gang were robbing a house, the family came home, so they did the only thing they could - they hid. Earl hid under the kid's bed, and later that night, the kid looked under the bed, and was scared by Earl - the boogeyman - and ever since, he's been scared of the dark. It's time to scratch off number 239.

Alby (Malcolm David Kelley of Lost) doesn't really buy what Earl is saying, so he suggests that Earl be his slave for a day. Earl, of course, agrees, and the day goes by, but when Earl sees that Alby is afraid of the dark, he knows that is his real calling. So he stays in a tree outside the window to help him get over his fear.

When he does, Alby comes to live with him because his dad never cared enough to help him overcome his fear. The only problem is the police show up, thinking that Earl and Randy have kidnapped Alby. Then the dad finally shows up, climbs across the roof and "rescues" his son. Problem solved!
