My Name is Earl Recap: Stole a Badge
While Earl and Randy are "treasure hunting" at the river, they come across a police badge, which brings back good memories. It seems that one day at the bowling alley, Earl and Joy stole the badge from someone's bowling shoes.
The poor sap in question liked bowling more than being an officer, and he would put his badge in his street shoes while he bowled, and he happened to have the bad luck to be bowling next to Earl and Joy. It's his worse luck to have his four sisters also on the force (his mom is the captain) and they find out he lost his badge one day when they turn in the stolen badge after finding out it has too much power for them to wield.
The poor guy gets even worse duty by manning the highway rest stop, so Earl feels it's his duty to help him regain his honor, and they try and trap Rodney (Clint Howard) into robbing the Crab Shack, but the would-be bowler won't step up to the plate , so Earl has to confront him at the bowling alley, and as it turns out, that's when he does step up - to arrest Earl. Of course, it all works out, as Rodney eventually flashes the stolen badge at the four sisters and the mom, who take him away in a police car.
