Lost Recap: Abandoned
As the tail-section survivors continue to make their way through the jungle, they threaten to leave Sawyer behind because he is slowing them down. But they are convinced to make a stretcher for him, and bring him along. Unfortunately, one of the original tail-section people disappears as they are climbing up a hill, and Ana-Lucia blames this loss on bringing Sawyer along.
Back on the beach, Charlie becomes jealous of Locke because he is spending so much time with Claire and the baby and he sees himself being forced out of the picture (when in fact he perhaps shouldn't be in the picture at all).
Finally, Shannon sees images of Walt speaking to her, and cannot convince Sayid that it is real. This triggers her memories of when her father died, leaving her alone with her stepmother, who cut off her money, leaving her to fend for herself. In the end, Sayid does see Walt, just in time to see Shannon run into the jungle and hear a gunshot.
As he runs after her, he sees that she has been shot - by Ana-Lucia.
