Amazing Stories Recap: Blue Man Down
One night while driving around town looking for bigger fish to fry, two police officers get called into a robbery in progress. When they get there, it seems as if they missed it. But in reality, the suspect is still in the store - they don't see him. So while one officer flips through a magazine, the suspect pops up and shoots the other officer, killing him. This haunts the other officer and he nearly quits the force, but then he gets a new partner.
He of course doesn't want a new partner, especially because it's a woman, but she begins to grow on him, as she pushes him, and one day they stop a car and it turns out that it's the same guy. She even saves him when the guy pulls a gun on him. The give chase, but he gets away, and she continues to push him to work out, to work on his shooting, just to get better. Then they go into a hostage situation and they end up capturing the guy.
In the end, it turns out that the new partner died in a similar incident some 12 years earlier. The only problem is they gave it away about halfway through the show, otherwise it would have been a pretty decent episode.
