Earl‘s ex-girlfriend Jesse (Juliette Lewis) returns to the picture as there is a warrant out for Joy, and she wants it.
As it turns out, Joy used her girlfriends to get Earl drunk and get married to him, because she was pregnant with another man’s child, and she needed a husband. She didn’t choose Randy because he licked the pool chalk, and she chose Earl because he didn’t. Sometimes it’s as simple as that.
Anyway, at the time Earl was happily dating Jesse, and Joy came into the picture and stole him (and knocked out Jesse’s two front teeth in the process), and now Jesse wants revenge. Earl tries to protect Joy, but as they are on the run, Joy comes clean, allowing Earl to cross Jesse off the list, since he wasn’t the one who did her wrong, and says she must face up to what she did.
Then she proceeds to kick Jesse’s butt, and knocks out her (fake) gold teeth, which she asks Earl to melt down and use for bail. Entertaining, but not one of the better episodes.
