Shows: The Class
We caught this new CBS show through the Tivo before it aired, which was nice. Frankly, it's always nice not to have to deal with commercials - not even having to fast-forward them. In this case, CBS and Tivo got together and offered a special download that you select and there it is, waiting for you to watch. Thus far, it's the best new show we've seen.
The show centers around Ethan (Jason Ritter), who is throwing a party for his girlfriend, who he's about to ask to marry him. In the process, he's calling everyone they knew in third grade, because that's when they met. Unfortunately, she doesn't share his love for romantic gestures. The other downside is that most of the other classmates haven't seen him in years and have their own problems.
It remains to be seen if the series lives up to the first episode. But thus far, this one has started off way better than the other new show we've watched, 'Til Death. That one was just too forced. This one flowed a lot better. I'm looking forward to see if this one does as well in the follow-up episodes. I can't say the same about 'Til Death.
