Jericho Recap: Fallout
While it seems that Jericho was spared from the blast (at least, from any initial blast), they appear to be in trouble now. There's a storm brewing over towards Denver, and that means that any radioactivity in the air will be brought down onto the people - and the pets, and the ground, and everything else. Luckily there are two shelters in town, and a whole lot of basements. Unfortunately, only one of the shelters works. The other one seems okay, but there isn't an air supply.
Jake works at it for a while with his new friend Heather, who is surprisingly adept at things mechanical, but they can't get it working, so everyone heads over to the other shelter - the only problem is that it won't hold everyone. So instead, they head up to the mine, and get ready to seal themselves in. But just before they can blow the entrance, Jake gets a call on the radio to find out that Emily is in trouble.
It turns out that those prisoners who escaped have made their way to a ranch outside of town, and they have Emily there and she doesn't think she's going to make it. So Jake blows the entrance to the mine, gets to the ranch, helps save Emily, and gets in the storm shelter there - just as the rain starts to fall. Busy day.
