According to Jim Recap: Model Behavior
When Dana's new boyfriend sees Ruby, he wants to know if she can model in a commercial. The reaction is so-so until Jim finds out that she will make $1500, and then it's on! Cheryl still isn't sure, but she goes along for this one time - but naturally it is never quite that simple with Jim around. By the time they come home from the shoot, he has an agent for Ruby.
Andy, meanwhile, can't figure out why no one will remember him as a child star - yet when someone finally does remember him (a woman at another audition), he can't remember that she was a child star herself. Figures. So he begins to be the creepy guy who makes other kids cry in order to try and get Ruby the job. It doesn't work.
In the end, it's a whole lot of running back and forth, and Ruby doesn't get even a second job, so she gets discouraged and decides that it is just more fun to have some wrestling moves on her bed with Jim. Then everyone is happy. Except maybe Andy. But no one really pays attention to him anyway.
The introduction to this episode also has Jim in bed talking to Cheryl, but in reality it's the family dog - Gary Sinise.
