My Name is Earl Recap: Larceny of a Kitty Cat

When Earl and Randy see a black cat cross their path once, then again, then they wait until the bad luck clears and have it circle around them again, it seems that karma is trying to tell them something, so Earl pulls out the list and finds where he stole a cat for Joy so her cat would win the contest. Unfortunately, because she put lip gloss and contacts on the cat, her cat was disqualified, so she didn't win and Earl took the cat to a lady who sleeps all the time and she wouldn't notice anyway. But now it's time to take the cat back.

So Earl and Randy show up at the house of the lady who they stole the cat from, and after all these years, she's still missing her little baby. So badly, in fact, that she adopts Randy to take his place - even giving him up when she finds out that Randy is allergic to cats. That's when Earl takes over and tries to get some of the champion back that he lost, and what do you know - he comes in second place in the competition.

Randy, meanwhile, has fallen in love, but in the end he decides that he doesn't want to be a cat, he wants to be a person, so he has to tell her that he needs his space, and that they'll each find someone one day. So Earl gives the cat back and crosses another item off the list.
