With Dana preparing to (finally) marry Ryan, there’s just one thing missing – the minister. So it’s up to Jim and Andy to make sure he makes it to the wedding on time. There’s just one thing about that, and that is that the minister gets knocked cold at the job site, so it’s up to Jim to find a replacement and he doesn’t have much time to do it.
But as he always does, Jim does come through, with Reverend Stevens (Anthony Heald). Unfortunately, Jim also doesn’t always get it right the first time, and this is no exception, because Reverend Stevens is a bit of a crackpot, and it seems he doesn’t exactly belong to the church any longer, for a variety of reasons that are too long to go into here. So it’s back to the drawing board.
They have to go through with the wedding so Dana doesn’t suspect, but since he isn’t actually a licensed minister, Reverend Stevens doesn’t actually do anything, and when Cheryl finds out, she is hot (and not in a good way). That’s when Andy comes up with a good idea. He fires up his PDA and signs Jim up on the Internet for a license, and then Jim gets up on stage and improvises a song called “I Do”, with lyrics that actually get Ryan and Dana married. That was a close one.
