Mr. Eko has a vision that takes him back to his childhood, when he recalls breaking into steal some food for his brother Yemi who was hungry - not the first time we have seen Eko sin for his brother (The 23rd Psalm). When Eko is taken to the church to confess, he does not, because he feels that what he did was help his brother, and that he would not be judged for that. When he comes around, he heads off into the jungle to search for the plane, and his brother's body.

There's an interesting flashback in this episode, with a vastly younger-looking Kate getting married, though she's posing as Monica, so it's obviously after she's on the run. Her husband is named Kevin, and is played by Nathan Fillion of Serenity. Though a police officer, he has no idea of her past.

Down with the Titanic. In that scene in Titanic where Jack and Rose jump from the back so that they don't get sucked down, is it really necessary? I mean will they get sucked down to the watery depths if they don't jump? That's what thish myth aims to find out - if a sinking ship will drag you down with it.
Adam thinks that it can be tested in the shop, but Jamie thinks they ought to test in a pool. Both actually win out, and the first test is something of a scaled-down version that takes place in the pool of Encino High School - which is incidentally the pool you see in the beginning of many episodes.

In Vegas, Baby (Part 1), Jim and Andy score a free trip to Las Vegas, and they take Cheryl, Dana and the kids along too. When they get there, Jim finds out that Cheryl has set up a meeting with his estranged sister, Roxanne (Jennifer Coolidge), who he suspects just wants money from him (again).
Though Jim gave her the money she wanted, and Cheryl did too, when Jim finds out that she didn't tell either of them that the other one gave her money, he takes back both gifts. But Roxanne doesn't quit there, and gets the money she wanted from another source - Andy.

When Catalina is feeling down, Earl suggests that she help him with an item on the list because it always makes him feel better when he does something for someone else. She gladly agrees. So they find an item on the list - where Earl and Randy used a mailbox as a trashcan, rather than walk across the road to where they moved the dumpster. So they open up the mailbox and clean it out. No word on whether opening a mailbox is itself a crime worthy of being added to the list. Probably not.
