The Class Recap: The Class Celebrates a Birthday
This episode picks up where the last one left off - in the apartment of Richie and Fern (and we still don't know if they are dating, or married or what, but we will soon). Richie has just come home from the bar where Duncan played a gig, and Fern confronts him with the name of Lina, so Richie suspects that he has a problem. In reality, the problem is only that Fern has opened their insurance and found out that Richie ran over Lina, so he's safe. For now.
Meanwhile, Ethan is still trying to keep up the charade as "Blind Date Dan", but he's run into a bit of a problem. It seems that Sue, who has introduced him to her child, is getting ready to head to a party. That's not the problem, in and of itself. The problem is that the party is being thrown by Holly and Perry, for Oprah, and naturally, they know Ethan as Ethan, and not as Dan. That could be a problem.
It's also a problem that Perry "forgot" to confirm the appointment with the puppet people, so instead of having a regular old puppet show, he has to hide behind the couch and do a show with his hand in one of his socks. He's pretty good too - Kyle really enjoys it (no sign of Aaron).
And while all this is happening, Nicole has made cookies for Duncan and Richie, but when she and Duncan find out that Richie is married (he tells them when he tells Lina "I love you" on the phone), she says he can't have one. Then they decide together that Richie will leave Fern, so that he can tell Lina that he was married, but he isn't any more, but he can't do that, because when he gets home, she's not there - she's at Lina's place apologizing to her so that they don't get sued - and telling Lina that she is Richie's husband. Whoops.
