According to Jim Recap: Scary Movie
Cheryl is ready for a day off, so she asks Jim and Andy to take Ruby and Gracie to see Piggie's Day Off at the movie theater. And to Jim's credit, he tries. He's almost there. He even tries to go on. But those girls flat-out lie to him. The tell him that every kid in their class has seen Robot Warrior: Cyber Death and they will be shunned if they don't get to see it too. Any guesses which movie Jim goes to see?
After the movie, the girls agree to tell Cheryl that "Piggie's Day Off was awesome!", and it looks like everything is going to go through without Cheryl being any the wiser. But if that ever actually happened, this show wouldn't be on the air, because there would be nothing to show.
The girls can't sleep, so every night they come in to spend the night in bed with Jim and Cheryl. Then Gracie's behavior gets worse and worse in school so that Jim and Cheryl get called in to speak with the teacher. Not wanting to go, but not sure what will happen if he doesn't, Jim reluctantly agrees.
When they get there, they find that Gracie used to draw rainbows and Santa. Now she draws robots that rip Santa's head off. This is apparently disturbing. Cheryl is mortified, because she is afraid that the girls look at her like a robot, and that they are acting out in this way. Jim, naturally, jumps on the chance at a way out and lets Cheryl run with it. By the time they get home, he thinks that he's managed to get away with it. Again.
But when Gracie and Ruby see the picture and laugh, he knows he is busted, and the truth about the movie comes out. And he has to agree not to take the girls to see that kind of movie, even if it is what they want. That's when Cheryl tells him that none of the other kids in the class have seen it either. The girls lied to him. From that point on, Jim seems like he'll have no problems at all. Right.
