The Class Recap: The Class Gives Thanks
Once again picking up where it left off (in the apartment of Kat and Lina), we see the surprise on Lina's face as Fern does indeed tell her that she is the wife of Richard Velch (that's Richie to you and me). The way she said it perhaps leaves some wiggle room for Richie, in that she doesn't really say too much that can be construed as them being together right now, except for the fact that she is concerned about them being sued - she may not be if they were separated - but it is enough for Lina, who has already said she doesn't stand for anyone who lies to her.
The rest of the group is giving thanks in their own way. Nicole and Yonk have Duncan, his mom and Yonk's daughter over for dinner. This seems like it may be a mistake, because Duncan's mom mentions that Nicole and Duncan used to date and Yonk gets all quiet. But then he really opens up after dinner, asking Duncan all sorts of questions about what Nicole means when she says this or does that. It's like getting an owner's manual. It looks like Duncan is safe, but perhaps in an even more awkward situation (if that is even possible).
Meanwhile, Holly and Perry have Kyle and Aaron over, but as if that isn't strange enough, Holly's parents come too. This is perhaps the best part of the episode, because Kyle and Aaron stand around laughing about how girls marry their dad. Think about that for a minute, and you'll get it. That's right - Holly's dad is just like Perry (though a bit older).
Each of them even comes to Kyle and Aaron and mentions how the other seems "light in the loafers". Classic. This is probably the best episode to date of this series. It is still a bit uneven, but considering how young it is and the sheer size of the case, that's to be expected to some degree. I hope there's more to come because some of the moments are just priceless.
