My Name is Earl Recap: Born a Gamblin' Man
Earl prepares to make 274 bologna sandwiches for Kenny - since he stole his lunch every day in the fifth and sixth grade. He has to use both white and wheat bread, but eventually he makes all of the sandwiches and delivers them to Kenny. Kenny mentions that he is allergic to mayo, so he hopes that there isn't any on the sandwiches. But before they can get into the details, Earl gets dragged into Kenny's latest problem: He's been dumped.
It seems that ever since Brokeback Mountain, all gay guys want tough guys, not easy-going sensitive guys like Kenny. So it seems that Earl has found how he can really repay Kenny. Unfortunately, Kenny takes it a little differently - he decides that he needs to be just like Earl, so he starts hanging out with Earl to try and be just like him.
While Earl attempts to give Kenny lessons in being him, Joy tries to overcome her anger management issues, and she gets a tip from the translator of her deaf lawyer, Ruby - he is on medication because he hates his job. It seems his boss likes to flirt with the delivery people, and he has to translate for them. Pretty humiliating. Maybe the pills will help Joy.
Kenny and Earl have made a new bond as they have found a shared passion - gambling. The only problem is that they are headed in different directions. Earl is on a lucky streak, and everything he picks is winning. But everything that Kenny picks is losing. At the Chicken Drop - where they take turns betting on where a chicken will do its business - Earl finally helps Kenny make enough money to get his stuff back.
As this is going on, however, Randy is getting ready to tell Catalina that he loves her. He has spread bubble wrap on the floor for her and put up rainbows and everything. But before Randy can give her his love, Catalina is hauled off by immigration (she was stopped while driving herself to work, since Earl was at the Chicken Drop), and it looks like it will take all Earl and Randy have to get her back.
