Jim finds out that Kyle is having trouble with the school bully, and what’s worse is that he suspects that it’s because of Cheryl and the way she coddles him – treating him like a little mouse, or a little kitty, or giving him butterfly kisses! So on the way to school, Jim practices throwing a punch, and when they get to school, he asks Kyle to point him out. But Kyle goes a little overboard, and throws first one punch, then another. The good news is that they are good punches. The bad news is that Kyle gets suspended for a week!
The next time we see everyone, they are in the offices of Jim and Andy (new offices, incidentally, which look much nicer than the old ones), and Kyle is hiding in a large drawer behind Jim’s desk when Cheryl and a very pregnant Dana come by. After they leave, Kyle pops out and we find out that he hasn’t learned anything, but Jim vows to teach him about standing up for himself, and not snitching out the other guy.
After a brief interlude where Cheryl and Dana return, and Jim and Andy have to shuffle Kyle around so that they don’t get caught, Jim takes Kyle back to school to try and get things straightened out. He talks with the bully, and finds out that the problem is that Kyle keeps calling time out during dodgeball, and everyone knows that there aren’t any time outs during dogeball (this has already been covered – see Father Disfigure), so the problem is solved.
The bully is actually a decent kid (except for getting suspended for smoking), and he confesses to hitting Kyle first, so when Jim gets home, Cheryl tells him that Kyle has been un-suspended, which is great, except Jim hadn’t yet told her that Kyle was suspended, which means he has some explaining to do.
