My Name is Earl Recap: Foreign Exchange Student
Earl is reminded of a young foreign exchange student who he used to torment in school. Mostly it just annoyed him that all the girls liked his foreign accent, so he would always beat up on him when he could. One day he strangled him in the bathroom and the guy never came back, so Earl decides that it's time to do something about it.
He sends his former rival a plane ticket, and sets up a welcoming committee at the Crab Shack. When he arrives, however, the guy just head butts Earl and turns around to leave. Thinking ahead, however, Earl has enough presence of mind to take his wallet and passport, so at the very least he'll have to come back for those, giving Earl a chance to show him everything that America has to offer - what he never had the opportunity to do before, because Earl interrupted the chance.
When he comes back because he can't leave the country, Earl takes the opportunity to explain what is so great about the US. Unfortunately, there isn't much that he can show the guy there in town - mostly it's looking at things that no one wants to see, because it's just a bunch of crap. If Earl is the best the country had to offer, you might go looking too.
But finally the truth comes out that he isn't impressed with America. What he really wanted to do was to use his accent to pick up girls. Back in France, everyone has an accent. And Earl took away the opportunity to do that. So Earl gives him the chance, by looking up all the women that he didn't get a chance to kiss that day because Earl was strangling him in the bathroom.
As all this is unfolding, Randy has finally mustered up the courage to tell Catalina that he loves her - and she said that she loves him, too. Only now she's worried, because she only said it so that she didn't hurt his feelings. She goes to Joy - of all people - for help. Luckily for her, Joy has a solution.
Joy says to get all nasty and dirty and smelly, and not shave, and when she gets into bed, Randy won't want to be with her again. Problem solved. For once, Joy is right. However, Catalina ends up having such a great time with Randy that she wants to be with him again - only now Randy can't do it, because he was so revolted from being with her!
