Heroes Recap: Chapter Thirteen: The Fix

On the streets of New York, Peter picks up where he left off in Chapter Twelve: Godsend - he is trying to make contact with The Invisible Man, though there's really no particular reason we know why he is trying to do so, other than the fact that he saw him in his dream, just before he explodes and takes New York City (and perhaps the rest of the world) with him. Unfortunately, TIM doesn't seem too interested in helping, and he tells Peter to lay off. maybe things will improve, but for now it doesn't seem like they are going to be friends. We'll have to keep watching.

In a mental hospital, Niki lies on the floor of a padded cell, and it appears that she has managed to banish Jessica - or at least, we don't see any sign of Jessica. She also has two visitors. One of them is a doctor who thinks that she'll be able to help her. My money is on this doctor having a special ability, but we'll have to see. The other is D.L., who needs help with Micah. It turns out he can't be superdad by himself. He needs help. Fortunately, Micah can provide it with his secret - he can talk to machines (in this case, cash machines).

All the way on the left coast, Matt and Janice have entered a new era of their relationship, and they seem to be getting along with it just fine - that is, until Matt has to file a report on the raid on Primatech Paper. While he's there, he overhears his bosses thinking about giving them an excuse to can him, so he wisely suggests that he just wanted to get something good, and they instead suspend him - for six months! Oh well, at least he didn't get fired (I guess that's a good thing). He and Janice will have lots of time to spend together, fixing up the house. I don't know where they'll find money to do it, however.

Speaking of the folks over at Primatech Paper, Horned Rim Glasses himself is trying to keep Sylar alive long enough to figure out what makes him tick. Unfortunately, the guy in charge of doing so seems to have failed. So after calling the boss to see what to do, he's told to package him up for shipping. But Sylar seems to have had the last laugh, because he's just playing dead. When HRG comes in, he finds out that the prize is now missing.

To make matters worse, home life is getting more interesting, because baby girl Claire, and if hanging out with that Zach wasn't bad enough, is conspiring with The Haitian, and she's found out that her father is a no-show, but her mother was killed in a wreck. So she and Zach do some digging and try to find her family. But wouldn't you know it - it seems that her mother is alive and well - and she has fingers that start fires all by themselves. Nothing like being in high school for a little drama.

The final stop in this week's show is back in the Big Apple, and while Nathan makes nice with Mohinder and they manage to find Peter, it doesn't last long. In fact, Peter quickly ducks out of his apartment and finds that TIM has come to visit him, despite all the rhetoric he gave about not wanting to help him. And wouldn't you know it - since Peter absorbs the powers of others, that means that he too is invisible, and Mohinder and Nathan can't see him.

Not far away, Hiro and Ando discover that parking a car in New York isn't cheap, and when they try and get theirs out of the deck, they have some people waiting for them. But it isn't someone they'd want waiting - instead it's a guy with a gun and some cronies in a van! While they hide out for a while, eventually they are picked up and made an offer they can't refuse - two first-class tickets back to Japan. The only problem is that they refuse it, and so they'll have to take it up with the boss himself.

Is it Linderman? No (at least, we don't know if it is or not). It's worse. It's Hiro's dad!
