My Name is Earl Recap: Blow
Joy shows up in the Crab Shack, announcing that she has some news from her deaf lawyer. While Earl and Randy pepper her with questions, such as if she's able to suddenly hear or other unlikely events, Joy gets fed up with them trying to guess and simply tells them - she has found out that she has a half sister, and she needs to make peace with her for the trial.
This affects Earl, too, because it seems that Liberty, the sister, is on his list.
One day in a shopping center, Liberty was trying to save a parking space for her "man" (it isn't mentioned at that point if it's a boyfriend or a husband). When Joy sees the spot, she takes it. Liberty isn't happy, so she pulls a knife and slashes Joy's tire. Joy pulls out the only weapon she has, a bottle of hair spray and a lighter, to make a home made blowtorch. Earl breaks it up, but steals Liberty's credit card in the process, and they go on a shopping spree. That was enough to get her on his list, at #101. Now he wants to make it up to her.
When Earl goes to talk to Liberty, she says that she has only one desire - to make it into BLOW - Black Ladies of Wrestling. But her husband has a wish too. He wants to have a baby. Liberty won't hear of it, though, because that will derail her dream of being a wrestler.
Speaking of babies, Joy has heard that if she's pregnant, she has a better chance with the jury, so she's trying to get Darnell to get her pregnant. When he refuses, she hits up Earl, and then she even propositions Randy. But no dice.
Eventually Earl decides to kill two birds with one stone. He suggests that Joy be Liberty's surrogate, but that would require them to talk to one another. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem like it's going to happen. It's even less likely to happen when Joy sneaks into the wrestling ring to sabotage Liberty's tryout when a professional scout shows up one night.
But then in the middle of everything, they have a breakthrough, and Joy realizes that Liberty missed out on having a real father, like she did, and all of a sudden it's okay. They fight it out, but in the end they make up. And Earl gets to cross someone else off his list.
