Heroes Recap: Chapter Thirteen: The Fix

On the streets of New York, Peter picks up where he left off in Chapter Twelve: Godsend – he is trying to make contact with The Invisible Man, though there’s really no particular reason we know why he is trying to do so, other than the fact that he saw him in his dream, just before he explodes and takes New York City (and perhaps the rest of the world) with him. Unfortunately, TIM doesn’t seem too interested in helping, and he tells Peter to lay off. maybe things will improve, but for now it doesn’t seem like they are going to be friends. We’ll have to keep watching.

It turns out that the poisoned soup from These Being the Words of Marcus Tulius Cicero didn’t make it to Atia after all. Instead, the server girl decided to taste it, and when Atia and company asked for some entertainment, she started to sing. That in turn provided enough of a delay that the young girl started to spout blood about her lips and eventually dropped to the floor. All from licking her finger which she dipped into the bowl. Imagine if someone had actually ingested some of the stuff like they were eating it, and not simply licking their fingers!

Ghost Whisperer Recap: Speed Demon

As Melinda returns home from an estate sale along a lonely highway, her engine gives out. Why is it that the engine always dies right where you’re least likely to find help? She calls Jim to let him know that she’s okay, but having some difficulty, but just then a ghost shows up, too, and it’s a spooky one, with a skull for a head. Odd, because most ghosts are as they died – perhaps that means that this one had no skin on its head when it died.

Just then, a large truck comes by and a woman stops to help Melinda get going. Lucky break! Melinda finally makes it back into town, only to find that Delia is having troubles with Ned. He’s been hanging out with a group of “friends”, but she can’t seem to find out too much about them, and he’s resisting her attempts to find out anything about them. Teenagers!

Earl is reminded of a young foreign exchange student who he used to torment in school. Mostly it just annoyed him that all the girls liked his foreign accent, so he would always beat up on him when he could. One day he strangled him in the bathroom and the guy never came back, so Earl decides that it’s time to do something about it.

He sends his former rival a plane ticket, and sets up a welcoming committee at the Crab Shack. When he arrives, however, the guy just head butts Earl and turns around to leave. Thinking ahead, however, Earl has enough presence of mind to take his wallet and passport, so at the very least he’ll have to come back for those, giving Earl a chance to show him everything that America has to offer – what he never had the opportunity to do before, because Earl interrupted the chance.

According to Jim Recap: Deliverance

Jim and Ryan wait nervously to for the baby to arrive – well, Ryan is nervous. I don’t think that Jim is ever nervous. Ryan’s main concern is that he won’t be able to handle a baby, especially when it’s screaming. So Jim decides to demonstrate by wrapping it up tightly to make it feel comfortable, and what better model than Andy?

Should the baby continue to go on and on, then there’s just one thing that you can do – give it a bottle. It’s not suggested that you give the baby a beer bottle, but in this case that’s all they have, so the swaddled Andy gets one and he shuts right up. Perfect. It looks like Ryan is a natural!
