Grease: You're the One That I Want Recap: The Four Remaining Dannys Perform

On the last show, the Sandys performed. This week, it's the Dannys. The last four guys in the competition get things started with a rousing rendition of Greased Lightning.

Except for the odd little smears of grease on them, it's not a bad performance. The grease needs some work, however. The girls in the audience didn't seem to mind, however. Perhaps their view wasn't as clear as ours at home.

Austin Miller got things going with Fun, Fun, Fun and David Ian still doesn't think that Austin is being fun enough. Chad's Take: I totally agree. Austin may be the most professional in the bunch, but he doesn't have the playful side necessary to pull it off.

Derek Keeling was up next with Heaven. All the judges thought he did a better job, but that he still needs to do a better job on his vocals. Chad's Take: Once again, I agree. Derek is so close, but he tends to crack on the higher end, and that might just do him in.

Max Crumm drew the third spot of the night, and sang Hard to Handle. Jim Jacobs felt that Max is getting better all the time. Chad's Take: Max is the man. Max isn't just getting better, he's taking it to an entirely new level. In the beginning, it was Austin's game to lose. Now Austin will have to do something amazing to take it from Max.

Chad Doreck was the final singer of the night, and gave us Don't Stop Me Now. Kathleen Marshall wanted Chad to make the performance his own, instead of just going with it. Jim thought Chad didn't look tough enough. Chad's Take: He has it all down, but while Chad has the fun side, he doesn't have the serious side. Mix him and Austin together and the result might take on Max.

Kathleen Monteleone and Allie Schulz then sang, as they were in the bottom two from last week. The judges decided to save Allie and give Kathleen the boot. Good call.

The Prediction: Max all the way. But for the bottom two, I'd have to say Chad and Derek. They have too many weaknesses compared to Austin. I think Derek will head home, as at least Chad doesn't crack under pressure. Better to not have the look than not be able to hit the note.

Update: It was actually Austin and Chad in the bottom two, and the judges saved the professional (Austin) and sent Chad packing. At least there won't be any more confusion about whether I'm talking about myself or him any longer!
