The Class Recap: The Class Goes Back to the Hospital
Everyone is at the hospital, to see how Yonk is faring after riding the bull. Even Yonk's abrasive daughter Penny shows up (who we haven't seen since Thanksgiving).
It might just be for the food, though. There was a lasagna there, then it was gone.
Outside of that, there isn't a whole lot happening.
Nicole and Duncan are trying to come to terms with their relationship. Nicole is in that place where she wants to leave, but now she can't, because Yonk needs her, and she'd feel like a complete jerk if she were to get up and go now, as it might seem like it was because of his health.
Also, they can't seem to get a moment alone because Penny keeps coming into the break room to get snacks before someone else eats them all. This happens regularly (that woman is scary!).
Meanwhile, Lina and Richie are having a serious talk of their own. Richie is trying to get up the nerve to ask Lena if she'd like to sneak off into a room and have a little alone time and Lina thinks that he's about to propose. It's a choice moment, but they manage to work it out in time.
We're left wondering just how Yonk is going to do. Not much of a cliffhanger, really. Frankly, last week's show would have made a better season-ender.
So frankly, I'm wondering about the fate of the show. I've really enjoyed it. Nearly every episode makes me laugh out loud. But there are rumblings that it won't be back for a second season, and there has been talk even during the first season that the cast size was just too big.
Over the last few episodes, they've trimmed down from where they started. Several of the regular characters that opened the series are now gone, and even some of the regularly recurring characters are now gone. Yonk may be on his way out. Is it enough? I hope so, because I've enjoyed it and I'd like to see more.
