Cheryl invites Dana to stay in the house so that it’s easier for her to help with the new baby, and when Jim can’t get any sleep, Cheryl suggests that maybe he should spend the night with Andy, since it’s just across the street.
The next morning, Jim wakes up refreshed and ready to hit the ground running, and before you know it, he’s growing accustomed to living apart from Cheryl. In fact, you could almost say that he likes things better this way. You probably shouldn’t, but you could.
Before long, Jim has spent several nights with Andy, and he’s getting more and more sleep each night, and Cheryl seems to be enjoying herself with the time she’s spending with Dana too. What’s more, it’s like she gets to be a mom again, since she gets to help with the baby. So it’s like everyone wins.
Jim and Andy are like kids in a candy store. Literally. Andy has this awesome game display that comes out of the wall, and when you hit just the right note, out pops these nerf guns. Jim is in heaven. Until Andy has to go get in line for the new Harry Potter book. Then he’s all alone, and he wonders just why Cheryl hasn’t come to tell him to come home. That’s when he all but destroys Andy’s house.
By the next day, he’s confronting Cheryl, as if it’s her fault, and of course she knows what the problem is – Jim was alone with his thoughts (there’s an oxymoron for you), and that’s never a good thing. So she explains that she was just giving him his space, and figured that he’d make his way home sooner or later. She’ll even be happy to tell Dana to leave in the morning.
Of course, about then Dana comes down and tells them that she’s getting ready to leave tomorrow. Ah well.
