Dirt Recap: Ita Missa Est
Don really needs to go back on his meds. Not only is he having visions of Marqui, but Kira has joined him, and now that he's wandering around in the desert, he's even having visions of himself. It's a pasty, ghost-like evil version of himself, but it's still himself. And all of these visions are telling him to kill Lucy.
Lucy, meanwhile, is looking for Don, and trying to figure out just who is stalking her. It turns out to be someone that no one would expect. It's her brother Leo. According to him, it was because of the fact that she had him followed (way back in What to Expect When You're Expecting). Talk about holding a grudge.
As if that's not enough of a headache, a rival tabloid editor, Tina Harrod (Jennifer Aniston) is all over the news, and the rumors are flying that she's up for the DirtNow position. When she shows up at Lucy's door to have lunch all cordial-like, it sets off alarm bells, but she doesn't know why.
In the end, it was basically to get herself a massive promotion - and apparently to find out what Lucy was driving these days, so she could have her followed, since it was Tina who was behind the photographers who took pictures of Lucy and Holt making out in the car, and then turned them over to Julia, who is still steaming that Lucy leaked the information that she leaked her own sex tape.
Now the talk shows won't touch her with a ten-foot pole. Well, they will, but it's only to make fun of her for trying to milk her own sex tape for personal gain, and when she sees pictures of Lucy and Holt making nice in the car, it's on. So she goes up to Lucy's house and the end result is a whole bunch of blood. Don gets there just in time to take some pictures and talk to Lucy for a second just before he calls 911. And that's the end of the first season. We'll have to wait to see what happens.
I suspect that both Lucy and Julia will survive, and the next cover will be about a psycho ex-starlet (Julia) who lost it when she found out her lover (Holt) was making it with the head of a tabloid (Lucy). It's always possible that the plan to kill her backfired, and Julia will end up dead, however. We'll see. The show might not even make it back.
