The Amazing Race Recap: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Way You Look, Yeah

My personal favorites for this season, Oswald and Danny, took off from Krakow, Poland with instructions to fly to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Uchenna and Joyce were right behind, and working separately, the two teams secured a 7:00am flight, to arrive at 6:40am the following day. That's the only part I'd hate about the race - these day-long (or more) trips just to get from one city to the next.

Unfortunately for Uchenna and Joyce, their travel agent suggests a risky flight with a one hour connection in Frankfurt. Oswald and Danny score a better connection through Paris instead. Meanwhile, Charla and Mirna use the hotel's connection to book seats online - but the two of them use the two available terminals, which earns them the wrath of Eric and Danielle. I guess the didn't learn to share earlier in life. Perhaps it will come back and bite them later. We can hope.

The Sopranos Recap: Soprano Home Movies

Way back when (just about anything could be then, since the last time we saw anyone was nearly a year ago), Tony went to see Johnny Sack. While he was there, the Feds decided to drop in an arrest Johnny, and Tony took off in the snow, dropping his gun in the process. Some kid across the way saw this, picked up the gun, and at some indeterminate point later, turned it in, naming Tony as the owner of said gun.

Now, back in the present, Tony (and family) are awakened by incessant pounding on the door, and Tony is arrested for possession of the firearm - he even has to go to court, make bail and everything - but then the DA drops the charges and Tony thinks he's free. But in reality, the case goes back to the Feds, who think they might be able to wrap it up into a RICO charge and nab Tony on it. So in order to lay low, Tony and Carmela head up to the lake house with Bobby and Janice (and their throng). It's like On Golden Pond. With mobsters.
