American Idol Recap: Top 7
Last week, Haley Scarnato took the long walk home on those long legs of hers. About time.
This week, Martina McBride is the coach, to show the remaining contestants what she knows about Country Music. I'm not a big fan of country music, so this might be painful. But I'll give it a go. For you.

This was really an interesting week for me on a couple of points.
First, Phil Stacey stepped it up. I've liked Phil because he seems like a good guy, but he really hit it out of the park here. I've like him as a person, this is the first week I've liked him as a singer. I've wanted to before, this is the first time I've had a reason to.
The other thing I found interesting was that several other contestants seem to be moving backwards. I like Blake a lot, but he seems to be losing his funk. Lakisha has a great voice, but I think she's a bit specific to a kind of music, and this definitely isn't it.
Jordin is good, I think she'll be around for a while, and Melinda is too. No surprises there. Sanjaya, well, he just stinks. Maybe we'll finally be rid of him. Chris really just doesn't impress me, and I don't know why he's here.
I think we'll see Sanjaya finally gone. I hope we do. But I think he'll be joined in the bottom three by Lakisha in something of a surprise, since she hasn't bee doing much, and I think that Blake needs to freshen up again. Against those two, I think Sanjaya is definitely the worst of the bunch.
Update: I scored across the board. Finally. Sanjaya is gone. Finally. I really don't think Blake is in much danger, but he needs to find his mojo again. Lakisha is wonderful, and I think she can really sing, but I'm not sure if she has the across-the-board talent. I think she'll be back in the bottom soon.
