Heroes Recap: Chapter Eighteen: Parasite

After Company Man, it would be nice if things would stick to a general story line rather than jumping everywhere. Alas, it is not to be. We're back to anywhere and everywhere.

At the Deveaux building, Peter and Isaac face off over Simone (well, over the body of Simone). I still think giving Isaac the gun was a bad idea. In Las Vegas, Hiro has been banned from casinos for being a cheat. At Primatech Paper, Thompson has found himself a new recruit, and she says that HRG is telling the truth about not knowing where Claire is. Apparently having his own mind wiped by The Haitian was a good idea.

Speaking of which, The Haitian and Claire are out wandering, and The Haitian gets a call, speaks in a foreign language (French, perhaps), then tells Claire that they need to leave the country. In New York, Nathan is told by the FBI that he needs to bring down Linderman, and as soon as they leave, Peter pops out of the air. He's getting good at being invisible. I wonder what he did with Claude, and I wish they would tie up these loose ends.

Then we see Mohinder and Sylar, who are in Mohinders nasty apartment. I know he's gone a lot, but that place is really a rat-trap. At least he can make coffee, which he has drugged for Sylar, so it looks like Mohinder has known at least for a while. I figured that Sylar would have heard the difference in the pouring of drugs into the coffee or something. While Sylar is down, Mohinder pulls out a needle to collect some fluid from Sylar. I don't think Sylar would like that very much.

Somehow Mohinder manages to figure out that there are an extra 4 genes in Sylar's DNA. I guess the apartment isn't that bad, since Mohinder could do all of this while Sylar was out. Unfortunately for Mohinder, Sylar isn't out any longer, and Mohinder shoots his gun at him, but Sylar stops the bullet in mid-air. It's about to get ugly.

We see Jessica for the first time in a while, and she's playing a video game with Micah. Then D.L. comes in and asks about a photo of Nathan. Then we see Jessica with a gun. I guess we know who she's after next.

In Las Vegas, Hiro is searching the archives, and gets caught by a curator-type, who warns him of security. That's when a security guard comes in, knocking out the curator. It's Ando! They find the sword, and as the guards break through the door, they decide to teleport, ending up on top of the Deveaux building. But it's not like it normally looks. Much of the city below has been destroyed.

While all this is happening, Nathan has met up with Jessica. Or Niki. I can't tell any more. And somehow Nathan manages to get away from her, and ends up in a kitchen talking to Linderman himself, who is cooking. Cooking, I say! He starts to explain that he knows that Nathan can fly, and Nathan is surprised, to say the least.

As the episode winds up, Peter comes to Mohinder's apartment, and when there is no answer, he opens the door. Seeing nothing, he gets a splash on the face, and looks up to see Mohinder, bleeding onto his face, who can manage only a single word: "Sylar".
