Last week was the Idol Gives Back show, so no contestants left. This week, two will be gone.
Tonight, Jon Bon Jovi tutors the group, and everyone performs songs either from Jon’s solo career or with Bon Jovi. Totals will be added with last week and the two lowest scores will be headed home.

Phil Stacey: Blaze of Glory by Jon Bon Jovi
Oh my. Blake is back. His rendition of You Give Love a Bad Name was unbelievable. Frankly, I thought he’d be down for the count, but he stepped it up here, and really showed that he’s in it and playing for keeps.
The other surprise of the night was Melinda. Gospel girl actually has some headbanger in her. I was really impressed. I don’t know if she has a lot, but she really pulled it off.
With two leaving, and only six left, I don’t know if we’ll see a bottom three. But I know that Blake and Melinda are safe. I’d say that Jordin looked the part, but her voice didn’t do it. She was middle-of-the-road at best.
That leaves Chris, LaKisha and Phil for a bottom three, and out of that bunch, I don’t really know that I’d pick anyone to stay. Probably Chris if I had to choose one. He was the best of the bunch.
Update: Ah well, no bottom three. Phil was gone, that wasn’t a surprise. Nice guy but he just didn’t have it. The other one out was Chris. I never really cared for Chris overall, and I was just judging on the last performance, which I thought was better than LaKisha. So we’re down to four!
