Wayne has decided that the best way to show his wife how it is to live with someone who has a drug problem is simply to show her.  So he snorts some of the crank (left behind by Chunky) so that she can see how it is having to live with an addict.  Now a drug addict may not be the best person to look up to, but one thing you can say about them is that they have at least built up a bit of tolerance.

Someone who does not have a drug problem generally will have no such skill at dealing with drugs, and so Wayne spends a good deal of the time being generally useless.  To everyone.  It is a shame, really, because Dale has managed to find his way to Eden Falls, which is one of the times when Wayne could be really useful.

In fact, Dale made a new friend in Hartley, the neighbor girl.  Yes, Hartley the sex toy shoplifter, she of the one arm.  And while making friends might not be the correct term, the scenes where Dale effectively made out with her fake arm were a little creepy – even for Dale – made for some of the most uncomfortable ever.  This is a relationship that is odd, right from the start.

As with last week, the kids were almost non-existent in this episode, but they did show up long enough so that DiDi could make everyone aware of her feelings: Though this is most definitely a buffer life, it is a nice one, and she really has little intention of going back to life on the road.  Can you blame her?

The rest of the show was focused instead on the flipside of most others – rather than Wayne having to cover for Dahlia, we see Dahlia covering for Wayne.  But that is the whole point, right?  Not much in scamming this week, just covering.  Hopefully that will change in the future, since the family is at their best, meaning the show is at their best, when they are actively at work.
